The City of Gaithersburg's Green Building Initiative
The City of Gaithersburg is working with the Environmental Affairs Committee to
expand its programs for smart growth and environmental protection to include the
promotion of green building. Gaithersburg seeks to encourage green building
principles to be applied in both public and private development in order to support
environmentally sensitive design, construction, operation, and maintenance of
buildings and landscapes.
